Children are a gift from God And mean so very much They are here for us to teach them? Though seems the other way round as such!
They teach us patience Beyond all doubt Gentleness but also strict tempering our personalities right out.
Everything we do, we do it for their future But have discovered one day at a time enough; Learning something new each day as is recommended Good manners and respect for life is tough.
So today of all days we will say to them You are the future for this world. So listen, watch and learn and then Fresh focus and acumen, let YOUR wisdom unfurl. Maggie-May

Oh for a son when my head is bowed and years have lined my face–– A stalwart son with a gentle heart, where I still hold a mother's place.
Oh, for a son when eyes grow dim and memories recede–– A spirited son, a steadfast son, who sees but does not fear my need. Susan Noyes Anderson

My Children
My children are very smart, Both of them have a great big heart. They both are growing up each and every day, In their own unique and special way.
Both of my children are filled with joy, I love them dearly both my girl and boy. When I am sad and have a bad day, Both of my children know how to make my hurt go away.
I love my children more than words could ever say, I am very grateful that they are alive each and every day. They mean more to me than anyone will ever know, When the children are not around me the days seem to go by so slow.
Everyday brings a brand new start, After all my children are my heart. I thank God each and every day, That he sent two beautiful angels my way.

Ode to (....)
Your bedroom is a rubbish tip In clutter it's knee deep You're always in your "Jamas" Cos you're never far from sleep
Your lethargy is catching As Aunt Jane has testified Thanks to you, her hanging basket plants Just gave up the ghost...and died
With your media qualification TV has a welcoming door But not the Beeb or Sky TV You were made for Channel Snore
Your total lack of energy Would put a sloth to shame But I wouldn't swap you for the world Cos I love you just the same
Lots of love from Mom

GREAT TRUTHS THAT ADULTS HAVE LEARNED:
1) Raising teenagers is like nailing jelly to a tree.
2) Wrinkles don't hurt.
3) Families are like fudge...mostly sweet, with a few nuts
4) Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground...
5) Laughing is good exercise. It's like jogging on the inside.
